Columbus, IN – On Wednesday, April 25th, beginning at 6:30 pm, the Alliance for Substance Abuse Progress in Bartholomew County (ASAP-BC) will deliver a Community Progress Report at The Commons, located at 300 Washington Street, in Columbus, Indiana.
Topics will include Treatment Expansion, The Hub and enhanced Recovery Programs, additional Health System Services, and Court and County Jail Updates. There will also be a major focus on community-wide Prevention initiatives.
“The team spent the last year learning, listening, and developing a plan to address the crisis. Now we’re ready to share the actions for the coming year that will benefit the community and make a difference in people’s lives,” Jeff Jones, ASAP-BC Executive Lead stated.
ASAP-BC will be joined by two leaders from the State of Indiana. Jim McClelland, Executive Director for Drug Prevention, Treatment, and Enforcement, and Dr. Jennifer Walthall, Secretary of the Family and Social Services Administration will discuss the State of Indiana plans for addressing the opioid crisis.
